Meet the New Body Scrub Bar Range
Our new Body Scrub Bar range is here. Five handmade 150g bars, each with a different natural exfoliant and a fragrance inspired by somewhere in Scotland. Coastline, moorland, forest, the bits that smell the best when you're walking through them.
All five are made in Scotland, all five are vegan-friendly, and all five come in luxurious drawer-style cartons that make them genuinely good for gifting. Real exfoliants you can see in the bar. No shortcuts.
Here's a quick look at the range and which one might suit you.
Why We Made Five Bars
We've been making soap in Scotland for 50 years, and one question kept coming up: "Do you do an exfoliating bar?" We did, sort of, but we wanted to do it properly. Not one generic scrub bar, but a proper range, because exfoliation isn't one-size-fits-all. Someone with eczema-prone skin shouldn't be using the same bar as someone with gardener's hands.
So we built five. Each one uses a different natural exfoliant (loofah, oatmeal, coffee, berry seeds, black pepper) paired with a fragrance that nods to somewhere in Scotland.
Which Bar Should You Pick?
| Bar | How rough is it? | The exfoliant | Best if... | The smell |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Au Lait | Gentle | Oatmeal pieces | Your skin's sensitive | Creamy. Milk, violet, sandalwood |
| Sea Kelp | Medium | Loofah + green clay | You want a fresh, everyday bar | Clean and marine |
| Wild Heather | Medium | Berry seeds | You like floral but not floaty | Soft floral with a woody edge |
| Oakmoss | Coarse | Ground coffee beans | You've got rough patches | Earthy, foresty, Scots pine |
| Thistle & Black Pepper | Coarse | Cracked black pepper | You've got tougher skin | Warm spice, amber, sandalwood |
All bars are 150g and presented in luxurious drawer-style cartons
The Five Bars
Sea Kelp: the all-rounder

The one we recommend if you're not sure where to start. Loofah strands plus green clay give a medium, spa-inspired scrub, and our sustainably sourced kelp and seaweed extracts keep skin from feeling stripped. The fragrance is properly marine: clean, slightly salty, the smell of a Scottish beach on a good day.
Best for: normal, combination, slightly oily skin.
Wild Heather: the everyday one

Natural berry seeds do the exfoliating, soft enough not to scratch but firm enough to do the job. We blended in organic heather extract because the moors in late summer are one of the most beautiful things this country produces. Floral top notes, warmer woody base, perfect for an occasional revitalising ritual.
Best for: all skin types.
Oakmoss: for the rough bits

For people who've been gardening, climbing, or working with their hands. Coarse ground coffee beans do the heavy lifting, and you can really feel them. Paired with locally foraged Scots pine and rowan extracts in a 100% natural Oakmoss fragrance, so it smells like a Highland forest after rain, not breakfast.
Best for: normal to dry skin with rough patches.
Au Lait: for sensitive skin

If exfoliating has left you red or itchy before, this is the one. Oatmeal pieces are one of the gentlest natural exfoliants you can put on skin, and we paired them with Scottish oat and chamomile milk extracts. Both are known for their soothing, anti-inflammatory properties. Soft, creamy fragrance with milk, violet, and a touch of sandalwood.
Best for: sensitive, dry, easily irritated skin.
Thistle & Black Pepper: the bold one

Coarse cracked black pepper, properly grippy, paired with a warm spice, amber, and sandalwood fragrance. Bold without being a cologne. Works brilliantly post-workout if you've got tougher skin. It's the one men keep coming back for, though it wasn't designed that way.
Best for: normal or tougher skin.
How to Use One
- Warm up your skin under the shower for a minute or two. Not too hot.
- Lather the bar in your hands or onto a damp washcloth.
- Massage in small circles, spending longer on rough spots like elbows, knees, and heels.
- Skip the face. These are body bars and too coarse for facial skin.
- Rinse, pat dry, and moisturise straight away. This is the bit people skip.
- Store on a draining dish. Sitting in water is what kills bars early.
For most skin types, 2 to 3 times a week is the sweet spot. Start with once a week if your skin is sensitive.
Quick Questions
Which one's best for sensitive skin?
Au Lait, every time. Oatmeal is the gentlest exfoliant in the range, and the oat milk and chamomile calm the skin while you wash.
Are they vegan?
Yes, all five Body Scrub Bars are vegan-friendly.
How long does a bar last?
About 4 to 6 weeks with proper storage, using it 2 to 3 times a week. A draining dish makes a real difference.
Can I use them on my face?
Please don't. Facial skin is thinner and these bars are too coarse. Use a dedicated face exfoliator instead.
A Word on How We Make Them
We're a carbon neutral company, powered entirely by renewable electricity, and accredited Zero Avoidable Waste to Landfill. Naturally derived ingredients wherever possible, cruelty-free, made here in Scotland. The bars come in drawer-style cartons we've designed to look as good as the bar itself, because nice things deserve nice packaging.
Worth a Try?
We built this range because we wanted exfoliating bars that didn't feel like an afterthought. Each one's there for a reason. If you're still stuck, Sea Kelp is the safest place to start. Branch out from there.
